2013 Seattle Mariners Consensus Top 33 Prospects

Introduction

I have created a cumulative prospect list for each team based on other (more knowledgeable) peoples’ lists. Each time a prospect appears on a list, he gets a number of points (21 minus his ranking). The prospect with the largest amount of points is ranked first. I will be posting each team once they have been completed by all of my sources. You can find a link to all of the other teams top prospects on the Team Prospects page. Clicking on the links below will take you to the team’s list on each respective site.

2013 New York Mets Consensus Top 38 Prospects

Introduction

I have created a cumulative prospect list for each team based on other (more knowledgeable) peoples’ lists. Each time a prospect appears on a list, he gets a number of points (21 minus his ranking). The prospect with the largest amount of points is ranked first. I will be posting each team once they have been completed by all of my sources. Three lists were published much earlier in the offseason before the Mets acquired Travis d’Arnaud, Noah Syndergaard and Wuilmer Becerra. To account for this, I took each prospect’s average ranking from the other lists and inserted them into the lists that missed them. All other prospects behind them were bumped down one ranking. Wuilmer Becerra was only ranked on one list of the nine that were published after the trade, so I did not rank him on the three that missed him.

Two lists were published much earlier in the offseason before the Marlins acquired Jake Marisnick, Justin Nicolino, Adeiny Hechavarria and Derek Dietrich. To account for this, I took each prospect’s average ranking from the other lists and inserted them into the lists that missed them. All other prospects behind them were bumped down one ranking.

2013 Houston Astros Consensus Top 29 Prospects

Since the trade of Jed Lowrie, Fernando Rodriguez, Chris Carter, Brad Peacock and Max Stassi between the Astros and Athletics happened so late, only two lists accounted for it. To account for this, I took Peacock and Stassi’s average ranking from those two lists (11 and 18, respectively) and inserted them into the lists that missed them. If a list did not have at least 11 or 18 prospects on it, I excluded them from that list. All other prospects behind them were bumped down one ranking.
